Application
Hot Melt Pressure Sensitive Adhesive SIS
The Styrene Isoprene block Polymer is a linear triblock polymer containing approximately 18% styrene. SIS is mainly used in the preparation of pressure sensitive adhesives, covering medical, electrical insulation, packaging, signage and other fields, especially in the preparation of hot melt adhesives used as tapes and labels.
The application results show that SIS meets the requirements of HMPSA raw materials; at the same time, SIS plays a toughening role in SBS/SISblend materials, improves processing performance, increases relative elongation of materials, and reduces hardness of materials. After adding SIS to SBS, the anti-aging performance of the product is significantly improved.
Thermoplastic Elastomer SIS for High Flow Adhesives
A Thermoplastic elastomer is a linear block copolymer containing a certain diblock structure. Using a special synthesis process, the distribution range is wide, and the proportion of diblock in the polymer can be effectively adjusted according to the design requirements. This structure imparts high cohesive strength and high adhesive strength to the SIS, as well as good compatibility with a variety of tackifiers. The pressure-sensitive adhesive prepared with the polymer has the characteristics of high initial viscosity, good adhesion and high peel strength. The solution viscosity of SIS in 25% toluene is low, and it has the characteristics of easy spraying and coating, and is more suitable for pressure sensitive adhesives and hot melt adhesives.
