Chemical Properties

The Alpha Methyl Styrene resin is the monomer petroleum resin obtained by the copolymerization of α-methyl styrene and the second monomer.

The product has high aromaticity, good compatibility with SBR series materials, high viscosity, good tackifying effect and strong cohesion. Refer to the adhesive, It is suitable for the adjustment of adhesive formulations, improving the holding force, and improving the performance.

At the same time, the higher aromaticity makes it more compatible with natural rubber and synthetic rubber, which can improve the anti-slip ability of the rubber compound.

Application

PSA, HMA, plastic modification, rubber tire.

PAMS can be used in the field of extruded and molded vinyl as processing auxiliary, and field of molded rubbers, thermoplastic elastomers,  extruded wire coatings, ionic elastomers, thermoplastic urethanes, adhesives, coatings and specialty molding as modifier and reinforce.

It is suitable for anti-moisture Use of tire tread compound.

Storage: Should be stored in cool ventilated dry place.
