Chemical Properties
Coumarone resin C90 is appearance is dark brown granular solid.
CI resin C90 is made by C9 fraction, a by-product of ethylene, through thermal-polymerization.
C90 has the properties of good solubility, mutual solubility, water resistance, insulation and very good chemical stability over acid and alkali, also IRD Coumarone resin have good adhesive strength and lower heat conduction.

Coumarone Indene Resin C90 Application
1. Coating
Coumarone resin C90 can be mixed with various kinds of dry oil to produce paint.
The paint of various colors can be prepared by mixing various resins and pigments.
It is widely used in the surface coating of vehicles, ships and bridges.
C90 petroleum resin with high softening point is mainly used in the paint.
Adding Coumarone resin to the paint can increase the gloss of the paint and improve the adhesion, hardness, acid resistance and alkali resistance of the paint film.
2. Rubber
Coumarone resin C90 is suitable for natural synthetic rubber additive, it can improve the molding operation, increase the hardness and elasticity of the product.
Due to the improved strength and aging resistance of the rubber, the resin is particularly suitable for use as a softener for SBR rubber and for the production of rubber tubes, V-belts and tires.
3. Adhesive
Coumarone resin has good adhesiveness and is a good tackifier in adhesives and pressure-sensitive tapes.
C90 is used to produce adhesives for plywood, wallpaper and leather, which improves the water resistance of the adhesives.
Because of its small shrinkage during solidification, C90 can be used in foundry industry.
4. Ink
Coumarone resin C90 has water resistance, melting resistance and drying resistance.
Adding Coumarone resin C90 into the ink can improve the printing performance, such as color development, quick drying and increment, so it can make various printing inks.
5. Others
Coumarone resin C90 has excellent thermal stability and weather resistance.
C90 can be used to make modified asphalt, refractory binder, solar energy cell and plastic modifier.
