Chemical Properties

Crosile® Si40 (Ethyl Silicate 40) is a partially hydrolyzed ethyl silicate with a silica (SiO₂) content of approximately 40%. It is a partially condensed organosilicon compound with good solubility, excellent thermal stability, weather resistance, and chemical resistance.

After hydrolysis and condensation, Crosile® Si40 forms a durable silica network, making it suitable for zinc-rich coatings, inorganic binders, foundry applications, building materials, and specialty chemical processes.
