Chemical Properties

Precipitated silica, a form of synthetic amorphous silicon dioxide, is derived from quartz sand, a crystalline form of silicon dioxide. The physical properties of precipitated silica can be manipulated during the manufacturing process to deliver products with a wide range of performance-enhancing features engineered for many different end-use applications.

  • Efficient rheology control in a wide range of simple and complex liquid systems. Imparts viscosity, pseudoplasticity and thixotropy. Stabilises pigments and prevents sagging.
  • Provides effective free flow and anti-caking behaviour. Can be used as a solid carrier for liquids.
  • Improves mechanical and optical properties of silicone rubber.
  • Improves anti-corrosion performance of protective and marine coatings. Reduces moistures sensitivity and increases hydrophobicity.

Application

  1. Precipitated Silica White  are mainly used in Shoe making, Rubber Roller and Tyre industries.
  2. Precipitated Silica White possesses a high reinforcing potential and imparts to rubber compounds   particularly high Shore hardness, tensile strength, tear resistance and abrasion resistance.  In order to achieve optimum rubber-technical data the addition of activators like glycols, amines or other alkaline accelerators is necessary

Petrolium Resin C9 HT9140 Hydrocarbon Resin for Paints
Aromatic resins (C9 resins) are made from C9 hydrocarbon aromatics. Their composition depends on the hydrocarbon raw material (coal tar, crude oil). The softening points of these resins range over a wide range. Compared to C5 resins, they have a higher melt viscosity, are darker in color (dark yellow to brown) and have a higher softening point ranging from about 100 to 150°C. C9 resins are versatile resins that are compatible with many polymers.
