HC-5090 Low-Temp Tacky C5 Resin | One Grade for NR/SIS/EVA PSA & EVA-HMA

Description:

Low-temperature C5 aliphatic resin, SP 90–96 °C, Tg –25 °C; engineered for NR-PSA and SIS-PSA, retaining high tack and peel down to –20 °C. Low-volatile, halogen-free; compatible with SIS, NR, EVA and plasticizers, ideal for freezer labels and cold-chain PSA tapes.

EVA-based HMA (VA 19–28%)  

- Softens polyethylene segments → 15–20% longer open time, deep wetting of PE-coated carton board for stronger sealing  

- Low density & high heat resistance: 5% lighter, 8–10% lower coating cost  

- Blends with hydrogenated resins for FDA-compliant, low-odor food-packaging adhesives  

SBS-based HMA / PSA  

- Cuts melt viscosity 30% at 120 °C for high-speed, non-string spraying  

- Instant tack and 20% higher peel; ideal for non-wovens, labels, low-temp tapes  

- Single resin delivers both tackifying and viscosity reduction—impossible with straight C5 or C9 alone
