Epoxy Silane Coupling Agent Polymer Crosile® AK200 as water-based Adhesion Promoter
Product Description
Crosile AK-200 is a light-yellow, low-viscosity silane polymer containing epoxy functional groups
- Slowly dissolves and activates in acidic media (pH ≈ 4)
- Epoxy groups react with resins and inorganic substrates (metal, glass, ceramics, concrete) to form strong covalent bonds, markedly improving adhesion
- Suitable for water-borne or water-solvent hybrid acrylic, epoxy and polyurethane systems, as well as for pigment dispersions and filler pre-treatment

Epoxy silane polymer Features & Application
- Water-borne or water-solvent acrylic, epoxy and polyurethane systems
- Primers for metal, glass, ceramics and concrete
- Pigment dispersion and filler pre-treatment
- Wood coatings, shop primers
Directions for Use
- Pre-dilution: mix 1 part Crosile AK-200 with 1–3 parts of ethylene glycol butyl ether, IPA or PH ≈ 4 acidified water (adjusted with citric/acetic acid) under slow agitation until uniform.
- Dosage: 0.3 – 1 % of total formula solids (resin + pigment + filler); over-dosage mayv impair properties—optimize by ladder study.
- Addition: incorporate during grinding or let-down; disperse fully and age the finished formulation for 2 – 3 days before application
