Vinyl Silane Polymer Crosile® 1090
Product Description
Crosile®-1090 is a colourless, low-viscosity silane polymer bearing high-activity vinyl groups.
Acts as an interface bridge between mineral fillers and polyolefins, improving compatibility and dispersion
Designed for peroxide-cross-linked, mineral-filled cables; retains mechanical and electrical performance even in humid conditions
High boiling and flash points ensure safe processing; low methanol release on hydrolysis, offering a greener profile.
Typical Properties

Vinyl Silane Polymer Crosile-1090 Features & Applications
High-activity vinyl silane polymer; single-step coupling of fillers to polyolefins.
Rapidly hydrolyses in moist air, forming stable Si-O bonds with aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, kaolin, etc., while terminal vinyl groups graft into peroxide-cured EPDM/EVA, giving strong interfacial adhesion.
Main uses
Halogen-free flame-retardant cable compounds; also suitable for pre-treating pigments or fillers.
Benefits
faster dispersion│lower water uptake│smooth processing│balanced strength & toughness│chemical & stress-crack resistance│improved abrasion│stable electrical performance after moisture exposure
