Resin acid and Rosin Acid, maleated, Maleric Acid Rosin ester Resin
The maleic resin that has been modified with rosin is esterified using gum rosin with maleic anhydride, glycerol or pentaerythritol. This type of resin is commonly used in paint and can be mixed well with nitrocellulose lacquer. The end product has a light color and maintains its quality over time. Additionally, the resin is suitable for use in ink and as a glossing agent for paper.
