Chemical Properties
HL250 Liquid Rosin Ester is a rosin ester tackifier. This is easily emulsified in water by conventional means. The principal uses for this resin are in the formulation of oil varnish, lacquer, hot-melt, heat-sealing, and pressure-sensitive adhesives. It has a suitable FDA status for use in food packaging applications covered by 175.105.

Character
Soluble in Aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents,esters, ketones and chlorinated solvents. Insoluble in alcohol and water. Compatible with Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) polymers, Ethylene Ethyl Acrylate, Styrene-Isoprene-Styrene (SIS), Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene(SBS), SBR, natural rubber, butyl rubber, neoprene, acrylic, amorphous polypropylene, alkyds, hydrocarbon resins and terpene resins.
Low odor, can significantly increase the cohesion in the early pressure sensitive adhesive

Application
They are used in Used in SIS, SBS, EVA and other hot melts adhesives. End use included quality packaging, bookbinding, disposable, pressure sensitive as well as rubber compounding, sealants, coatings and wax-based products.
