Cold polymerized petroleum resin HC 9120 is prepared by low temperature catalytic polymerization of C9 fraction,which is a byproduct of ethylen plant.

HC 9120 is a yellow granular solid, transparent and glossy, with good solubility, mutual solubility, water resistance, insulation, excellent chemical stability to acid and alkali, good adhesion and low thermal conductivity.

Applications

Paints: The mixture of petroleum resin and dry oil can be used for varnish making, increasing the alkali resistance and the shock resistance of the varnish. Improve the temperature resistance and waterproof in primer.
Rubbers: HC 9120 with low soften point petroleum resins in rubber will increase the adhesiveness. It can replace coumarone resin.
Printing inks: Petroleum resins HC 9120 used for printing inks will increase the drying speed, the radiance and the printing quality, it and also reduce the product cost.
Adhesives: HC 9120 can increase the adhesiveness of adhesives, and the resistance to high temperature. Used for solvent-based pressure sensitive adhesive. Low molecular weight aliphatic petroleum resins that are widely applicable to solvent-based pressure sensitive adhesive labels and tapes.
