Rosin resin is a general term for a class of rosin or modified rosin derivatives obtained by esterification of carboxyl groups and alcohols under certain temperature conditions.
Application
» Flux
Rosin ester resin has a good effect on electronic circuit boards, with stable performance and good electrical performance. For example, hydrogenated and polymerized rosins are film-forming resins that can be used to make scented solder pastes. When the mass fraction of rosin in the flux is in the range of 20% to 60%, increasing the content of rosin can improve the spread ability of the solder paste, improve the morphology of the solder joints, and significantly enhance the slump resistance.
» Printed circuit board precoating agent
Rosin resin has the characteristics of fast drying, good oxidation resistance and non-corrosiveness in printed circuit board precoating agent, and has good compatibility with alcohol-soluble pine flux.
» Water-soluble ink
Ink manufacturers use the required water-soluble fumaric acid modified maleic rosin. Water-soluble fumaric acid-modified rosin resin can be used alone as a binder for water-based inks, or can be used in combination with acrylic copolymer resin. The use of link materials is low in price, adapts to the development needs of the current ink market, and has good application prospects.
» Tackifier
As a tackifier resin, rosin is widely used in the production of pressure-sensitive adhesives (SPA) due to its low cost and excellent fast track.
