3-Methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane in Different Application

Crosile®570 sliane (CAS NO.: 2530-85-0) is soluble in ethanol, methanol, isopropanol, acetone, benzene, toluene, and xylene. After hydrolysis it is soluble in water with adequate stirring if the pH is adjusted to 4.0. Hydrolysis releases methanol.

Crosile®570 sliane is 3-Methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane. It is a methacrylfunctional silane that can be used as adhesion promoter, surface modifier, co-monomer for polymer synthesis and crosslinker.

• Glass Fiber Soakage Agent

Significantly improves composite strengths when the composite is reinforced with fibreglass roving sized with a typical polyester-compatible formulation. These formulations normally incorporate silane coupling agents, film-forming resins, lubricants and antistatic agents.

Crosile®570 slianeis used as a coupling agent to improve the physical and electrical properties of glass-reinforced and mineral-filled thermosetting resins under exposure to heat and/or moisture.

• Electrical wire and cable

When used in electrical wire and cable,Crosile®570 sliane can greatly improve its mechanical property and electrical property. When applied in argil,Crosile®570has dramatically better the consumption factor, inductance and capacitive reactance of the EPM (ethylene propylene monomer) and EPDM (Ethylene-Propylene-Diene Monomer) systems crossed linked by peroxide and filled with argil.

• Filler Treatment

This silane can improve the mechanical strength of polyester composite materials made from filling white carbon black, glass, silicate and Adhesive and Coating.
