It improves the adhesion of amino-reactive resins to inorganic surfaces and inorganic fillers. It offers low viscosity. It produces significantly less by-product (VOC) and low-odor.

Chemical Properties

Crosile® 5246 Silane is characterized by a random distribution of linear and cyclic Olig siloxanes, which meet the OECD polymer definition. Its low volatility and viscosity make compounding easy.

Crosile® 5246 Silane produces a significant reduction in by-products (VOCs) and a corresponding reduction in odor levels during application.

Product Application

• As an additive or primer in the coatings, adhesives, and sealants industry;
• As an additive, 5246 can eliminate some special primer steps in multiple bonding applications.
• Crosile-5246 The usual recommended addition is 0.5~1.5 wt.% relative to the overall formulation.
• In particular, in photovoltaic/solar sealant, the use of Crosile-5246 can make it pass the double 85,95 test;
• It can be used for the treatment of inorganic fillers. When mixed with resin systems, the use of Crosile-5246 can yield functional inorganic fillers with unique properties.
• MS adhesive systems, RTV silicone rubber, and hybrid silane crosslinking systems, two-component polyurethane, and organic silicon-modified polyurethane, two-component epoxy resin, and other systems can also improve the adhesion of Crosile-5246.
