Crosile Si32 silicate Tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) is an inorganic material that can be used as a source of silica for various applications such as silica, silicon oxycarbide, silanols, siloxane polymers and dioxide Synthesis of Silicone Thin Films of Silicon-Based Materials. Ethyl Silicate Crosile Si32 can also be used in the synthesis of hybrid membranes and in the production of aerogels. Other applications include the coating of carpets and other objects.

Application

Tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) can be used:
» Used as a reagent together with ferric chloride in the synthesis of dihydropyridines.
» As a modifier in the manufacture of humidity sensing materials
» Synthesis of triarylamines and diaryl ethers via a copper-catalyzed ligand-free Ullmann reaction as a mediator.
» As a precursor for the preparation of silica xerogels, it can be used as a drug carrier.
